Sociology:
The department of Sociology of Bongaigaon College was established in the year 2016. Mrs. Bhaswati Das was first appointed as the faculty in the department. At present, two faculties are working in the department namely Mr. Hadiul Islam (Contractual) and Mr. Samujjal Ray (Contractual). The department is yet to get the provincialised status from the concerned government. At present regular courses are offered in the department. Since, 2019, the CBCS has been introduced in the department which is being offered at TDC level. It is a matter of pride that till date two graduation batches have successfully completed the general courses from our department.
